Willis Joseph Young, 54, died suddenly, apparently of a heart attack, shortly before 11:30 p.m. Monday at his home at 1031 North Miami Avenue.
Responding to a call at 11:20 p.m., the fire department rescue unit was unable to detect a pulse beat. He was pronounced dead by a physcian called to the home.
Born Dec. 20, 1913 in Cement City, Mich., he was a son of William H. and Cora Edwards Young. His mother, Mrs. Cora Mayo, R. R. 1, Houston, survives.
Also surving is his wife, the former June Longbreak, whom he married Oct. 21, 1967; two daughters by an earlier marriage, Mrs. Ralph (Gail) Abbott and Miss Sarah Young, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Roger (Connie) Cotterman, all of Sidney.
Two sisters, Mrs. William (Waneta) Smith, Berea, O, and Mrs. R. J. (Julia) Luma, Quakertown, Pa., also survive with two grandchildren.
A life Member of Trinity Church of the Brethren, Mr. Young was a trucker driver for the Althoff Sunoco.
Funeral services have been arranged for 1:30 p.m. Thursday from Cromes and Sons Funeral Home, With Rev. Marion Petry Officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland Cemetry.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening and on Thursday until the funeral hour.
