Irene D. Getz, 85, formerly of Pottstown Irene Dorothy Getz, 85, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Waccamaw Community Hospital, South Carolina. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna Piroschak. Mrs. Getz was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman A. Getz. Survivors include sons, Steven Getz and his wife, Bonnie of Pottstown, and David Getz of Steward, AK; a daughter, Barbara Erb and her husband, David of Boyertown; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a sister, Helen Rodgers of Virginia. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Ray Carlo officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.
