Grace was the daughter of Corp. Isaac Kelsey and Margaret Peggy Glidden. She married about 1814, Nathan Winters. He died about 1827, probably in New York. They had three children: Lucena, Seneca, and Reuben Kelsey Winters.
Grace Winters, widowed, was living with her daughter Lucena and her husband, Hollom Pierce, in 1850 at Athens, Menard Co., Illinois.
The Burial location of Grace (Kelsey) Winters is unknown, but the records of the Mott Funeral home in Athens, shows the purchase of a coffin by Hollom Pierce for "his mother" on 25 June 1851.
