Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Bertha Mae Douglas; parents, Leonard and Viola Douglas and sisters, Faye and Charlotte.
He is survived by his daughters, Toni Helton (Rob) and Sandy Douglas; grandchildren, Erin Bigg (Chris), Alex Major, Zach Helton, Michael Helton and Leslie Helton; siblings, Ava Klein, John Douglas and Lenny Douglas (Judy); many nephews and nieces; and faithful companion, Mitsy.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday January 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. A private inurnment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday January 14, 2012, noon until service time.
