Raised in Bridgeton, he attended and was a graduate of Bridgeton High School in 1962. While in high school he proudly played on the varsity football team. As the team’s placekicker, he helped his team win several close games. In his senior season (1961), the team compiled an 8-1 record and won the county championship for the first time in ten years.
He matriculated and graduated from Glassboro State College (Rowan) in 1974 and worked at Seabrook Farms as a computer programmer. Yosh returned to college to attend law school at Temple University in Philadelphia where he graduated in 1979 with his Juris Doctorate. For 35 years, he practiced law at his office on E. Commerce Street in Bridgeton and later worked with his wife, Karen (nee Varga) Hanzawa, who was also his law partner. He served as the prosecutor, at various times during his career, in Upper Deerfield, Deerfield, Hopewell, Stow Creek and Greenwich Townships and also in Shiloh Borough.
He was a member of The Parish of All Saints / St. Mary Magdalen RC Church in Millville where he served as an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister. In addition, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Third Degree Knight.

He was a well-read Civil War buff and enjoyed taking his family on yearly excursions to Gettysburg to see the re-enactment ceremonies. He also spent time in Fredericksburg, VA visiting Civil War landmarks.
