George Sheridan was the youngest child of George Washington and Mary (Barnes) Sheridan. He died from cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 52. The death certificate states he was a widower but I have been unable to find any record of a marriage. He is shown in Atlanta, Fulton Co., Georgia on the 1910 US Census. He next appears in New Jersey on a WWI draft registration card and is in a county jail. He lists his sister, Mrs. J R Owings (of Atlanta). as a contact. I have not found him on the 1920 Census. It is unclear when he relocated to Texas.

George W Sheridan served in the medical corps during the Spanish-American War (1898-1900).

NOTE: This George Sheridan had an older half-brother who was also named George W Sheridan (son of George W Sheridan and Adelia Sophia Boutell).
