Founder of the Century Circuit which operated a chain of movie theatres in Brooklyn and Long Island, Henry was the son of the late Henry Clay Miner and together they founded the Miner Cosmetics Company in 1900. They created make-up mainly used by theatrical people. They also owned the Peoples Theatre which played legit melodramas and later the theatre was leased for Yiddish shows.

Miner was in semi-retirement at the time of his death, continuing to chair the board of the Century chain.
