Martha Naschinski was a daughter of Johann Naschinski and Maria Rettkowski. She immigrated to the United States with her mother and four of her sisters, arriving through the port of Philadelphia on the Haverford on 4 Dec 1912. They joined Martha's father and brother Wilhelm in Springfield, Illinois. Martha was married 25 April 1913 to John Kompa. He preceded her in death 10 Oct 1953.
