Ocala - Josephine Daley, 74, passed away quietly on July 30th, 2012 at home. She was born on February 6th, 1938 in Parika, Guyana to Oliver and Eldeka Forde.
Josephine moved to New York in 1965 where she met and married Stephen Daley (of Jamaica) in 1969. They moved to Ocala in 1983 and are members of Shiloh SDA Church.
Josephine enjoyed helping others and was a true servant of Jesus. She gave unselfishly and was a perfect example of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31. She was blessed to have plenty of love from family and friends, and she was an enormous blessing to all.
Josephine will be lovingly remembered by a multitude of people; especially her devoted husband, Stephen Sr.; her children, Mark (Darlene) Norville, Beverly (Johnny Jr.) Grandison, Stephen Jr. (Maricar) Daley, Ruth Daley, Grace Daley; and her grandchildren, Monica and Jasmine Norville, Gabriel and Ella Daley.
The viewing will take place at Brown Memorial Funeral Home (706 SW MLK Ave., Ocala) on Friday, August 10th, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Saturday, August 11th, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and at Shiloh SDA Church (500 SW 17th Ave., Ocala) Saturday, August 11th at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a final viewing at the Silver Spring Shores SDA Church, 45 Pine Ave., Ocala, on Sunday, August 12th, at 10 a.m. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Josephine requested donations be sent to Euchee Pines Institute for Hidden Manna Ministries. (334) 855-4764. Family has entrusted services to Brown Memorial Funeral Home (352) 840-0611.
