GUNSHOT IS FATAL FOR BOY

An 11-year-old Idabel boy died early Friday evening of a single gunshot wound to his head, Police Chief Hoppy Denison said Saturday.

Tony Bee was found dead in the master bedroom of his home by his parents after they and other children returned home from shopping for groceries, Denison said.

The police chief said the boy died from a shot from a .410 gauge shotgun. The incident occurred at about 7 p.m., and the victim apparently was alone at the time, he said.

"He left no suicide note," Denison said. "It is difficult to tell whether it was an accident or suicide."

Bee was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Bee of 411 SW LeFlore.

He was born in Idabel July 25, 1970, and had lived his life here. He was a member of the Mount Sinai Church of God in Christ.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benny Bee of Idabel; three brothers, Carl Bee, Idabel, Michael Bee, Los Angeles, and Allen Bee, Fort Benning, Da.; and six sisters, Bennie White and Johnnie Fay Bee, both of Los Angeles, Barbara Caston and Teresa Bee, both of Fort Worth, and Sheila Bee and Angela Bee, both of Idabel.

The family will receive friends tonight between 7 and 8 p.m. at Blandon-Westside Mortuary.

Funeral arrangements and burial in Richland Cemetery under the direction of Blandon-Westside Mortuary.
