Jacob Hynek, 71, Reifs Mills blacksmith, died last night at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Otto Schlundt of the town of Two Rivers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Klein and Stangel
Inc. funeral home in Two Rivers with interment at Forest View cemetery. The
body may be viewed at the funeral home after seven o'clock tonight.
Jacob Hynek was born in the town of Franklin, 1871 and 49 years ago married
Kathryn Freye (sic) of Denmark. She died eight years ago.
After following the blacksmith trade at Reifs Mills for many years, Mr. Hynek
retired four years ago and made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Schlundt,
since that time.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Otto Schlundt of the town of Two Rivers and
Mrs. Henry Laughlin of Manitowoc; a son, Emil of Two Rivers. A sister, Mrs.
Josephine Malshek, of Two Rivers also survives, and seven grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.
