Mr. James C. (JC) Henry, age 79, of Swainsboro, died Friday afternoon, October 29, 2010, at his residence, under the care of his family and United Hospice.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, and long time resident of Emanuel County. He was retired from Hooks Milling Company, where he worked faithfully for over fifty years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, grandsons, and brothers-in- law. He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Minnie
Henry; one granddaughter and great grandson Becky and Corey Williams; sisters, Eddie Cox, Mary Sayler, and Billie Jean Adams, all of Swainsboro, and Oprah Bridges and Barbara Brown of Glenwood; Robert Henry, Cecil Henry, Charlie Henry, all of Swainsboro, Walton Henry of Glenwood, and George Henry of California.
Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon, October 31,2010, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with Reverend Arthur Conley, and Reverend Harry Morgan officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery with Reverend George Salyer officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening between the hours of 6 and 8 pm. at the Funeral Home.
