Mrs. Nora was a member of the East Brewton First Church of the Nazarene. She was a Sunday School teacher and served on the missions board. She had also been a school teacher and was a tutor to her students. Two of the schools that she taught at were Liberty Christian Academy (Christ Academy) in East Brewton, Alabama, and Jefferson Davis Community College. After battling bone cancer, she passed away on September 19, 2014, in a hospice facility in Pensacola, Florida.

Mrs. Nora left behind on this earth her husband, three children, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous friends. Her visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 on Saturday, September 20, at Craver's Funeral Home in Brewton, Alabama, and from 2:00 - 3:00 on Sunday, September 21, at the East Brewton First Church of the Nazarene. Her funeral service will be at 3:00 on Sunday at the church. Graveside service will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery in East Brewton.

Mrs. Nora was an amazing Christian lady, and she will be greatly missed.
