Kameron Wade Daugherty, 25, of Temple, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at his residence. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2014, at the funeral home. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 20, at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Elwyn Johnston and Rev. Matt Baumgartner officiating. Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park.

Kameron was born in Cape Coral, Florida. He attended Troy schools. Kameron formerly worked for Tarco in Belton and Snyder’s Auto Salvage in Holland. Kameron had a deep appreciation for all kinds of music, which started at a very young age. He loved to sing along, and if he did not know the words, he made them up. He still said “yes sir” and “no ma’am” to anyone older than him. He shied away from conflict and lived to make others happy. He had a beautiful smile, and his laughter was infectious.

Kameron was very soft-hearted. On trips to the doctor’s office, as a young boy, each and every time the nurse would give him a sucker or a prize, he would ask if he could have one for his little sisters. When he was older, Kameron had a certain doctor that had a trunk full of stickers and small toys for his younger patients, and even though he was probably embarrassed, because he felt he was too old to get a prize, Kameron would accept when they offered to let him pick something, and he would find something suitable for his youngest sister, Rebecca.

Family was so important to Kameron. He loved family gatherings and attended all that he could, even as he got older. He loved animals, especially dogs, and he leaves behind Sandy, a miniature dachshund and faithful companion of 11 years. Although, like any child, he could be a royal pain from time to time, Kameron would never intentionally hurt anyone. Kameron loved with his whole heart…he was one of a kind.

Survivors include his wife, Randi Daugherty, of Temple; mother, Kelli Sellers, of Temple; father, James Daugherty, of Kansas; stepson, Adan Hernandez; stepdaughter, Alea Hernandez; sisters, Heather Daugherty, of Las Vegas, and Rebecca Sellers, of Temple; stepbrother, Cody Sellers and wife, Tara, of Dallas; stepfather, Rodney Sellers, of Fort Worth; grandparents, Nancy Kendrick, of Temple, Hal Kendrick, of Woodway, and Betty Daugherty, of Oklahoma City; aunts and uncles, Wesley and Debbie Wooley, of Temple, Charles and Ann Archer, of Oklahoma City, and Rick Kendrick, of Temple.
