Pamela J. Kadow, age 42, of 205 Randolph St., Mishicot, died early on Tuesday morning, March 15, 2011, at her residence after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer.

Pam was born Oct. 3, 1968, in Two Rivers, a daughter of Ben and Nancy (Bonfigt) Valenta. She attended the O.H. Schultz Elementary School in Mishicot, and was a graduate of Mishicot High School with the class of 1987. On Sept. 8, 1989, she married Gerald W. Kadow at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Pam was employed with the Law Offices of Kaminski, Pozorski & Greig for several years, and later worked with her husband in the office of G. Kadow Plumbing & Heating of Mishicot. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and the time spent at their cottage in Sand Bay; she treasured the many hours that were spent attending her two daughters’ activities and sporting events, and she was an avid walker.

Survivors include her husband: Jerry Kadow; two daughters: Samantha Kadow and special friend Any Mallard, and Krista Kadow, all of Mishicot; her parents: Ben and Nancy Valenta of Mishicot; and her mother-in-law: Carol Kadow of Manitowoc. She is further survived by one sister and brother-in-law: Debbie and Bernie Samz, Mishicot; one brother and sister-in-law: Michael and Karen Valenta, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law: Debbie and Jon Sprang, Kay and John Franz, all of Mishicot; several nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and her special companion, “Maggie.”
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Roger Kadow; and by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O’Brien, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Hwy, 310, Manitowoc.

Friends may call at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State St., Mishicot, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2011, and at the church on Friday after 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. There will be a parish prayer service held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

The Kadow family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Yetter and staff at the Lombardi Cancer Clinic for the compassionate care and kindness extended to Pam. Special thanks also to the Visiting Nurses Association of Aurora Medical Center for their support.
