Dorothy E. Kallies, age 77, a resident of Hannah Home, Manitowoc and formerly of 1028 24th Street, Two Rivers died Tuesday evening, August 9, 2011 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Dorothy was born February 12, 1934, in Burnette Co., Wisconsin, daughter of the late Albert J. and Mary M. (Kingsly) Hills. On March 3, 1951 she married William G. Kallies in Underhill, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2005. Dorothy loved cooking and knitting. She was employed at Schwartz Manufacturing until her retirement.
Survivors include a daughter: Debi Schulz, Mishicot; several grand and great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law: Alvin and Cathy Hills, Manitowoc; two sisters: Margaret Jagielo, Pittsville; Penny Camalcho, Black River Falls; one sister-in-law: Marcie Hills, Milwaukee. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons: Michael and David Kallies; one daughter: Kathie Kallies; brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2011, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two RIvers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. William Kilps. Entombment will be at Knollwood Mausoleum at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, August 12, 2011 at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.
