Anna Louise Petty Butts was born to William Alfred Petty and Ruth Green Petty on February 28th 1928. Louise was 3rd born of seven girls within the Petty family and loved by them all. She had humor which seemed to never be stifled and loved most everyone she came into contact with. Anna Louise was the proud mother of two Daughters herself. Sherry Jeanette Butts Carter and Juanette Ann Butts. Anna Louise was as well a Grandmother of two beautiful Grand daughters. It seems quite apparent that the females were going to rule from this point forward within this branch of our family tree. Louise was many times living distances from family due her marriage to William A Butts. Many years later Louise along with her youngest Daughter Juanette and husband William relocated to Fort Worth, Texas. There she remained for many years and shortly afterwards raised her youngest daughter as a single Mom. There was always much love in her heart for others. She was a very strong woman of faith to her God and even when times seemed desperate she always pulled through and kept a smile on her face. It was one of the most crowning moments of my life to have one of my favorites live so close to us once again. I forever miss her laugh and company, the many weekends she and my cousin would come over spending all night with us over the weekends and all of the encouragement and love she gave to others so unselfishly. A truly remarkable woman of God and compassion. Anna Louise was called home to be with her savior ending her battle with Cancer. Many hearts were broken but by God's Grace she was saved by her faith in God and is now out of pain and made whole again for all eternity. May you rest from all your struggles and watch over us all until we rejoin you in Heaven with our Savior.

I will leave you with a poem I wrote in her honor and her love for the Color Purple. She as well had a favorite saying we all heard as long as I can remember when things were just a little baffling. She would say "Well I'll be smiggeled." I so miss hearing her say those words even to this day.

"PURPLE"

I miss your laugh, I miss your smile, for one more hug I'd walk many miles. Through fields of green, blooms full of purple, we miss you here within our circle. For now we wait, So take your time, In Jesus arms so sweet divine. Your task was done so ends the chore, you now can rest you've reached the shore. Your love for life shone bright for all as the tempest rolled you heard a call. A gentle voice from up above, called you away from those you loved. Weep not nor worry for us down here, the times are short we'll soon be near. The badge of courage is yours to wear, the heart of purple from the trials you bear. I now will send my loving thoughts, memories of you are lots and lots. I wish again to hear you giggle, but alas I sit here, well I'll be smiggeled.
