She was born Nov. 27, 1928 in Chicago, Ill. and was specially picked for adoption by Dewey and Anne Bastien.
She married Ivon A. Ashwood on Jan. 6, 1947 at Lewistown, Ill.
They spent 52 unboring years together until Ivon passed away 14 months ago.
Polly was also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jason Watkins.
She is survived by three loving daughters, Cindy and Dave Cress of Pocatello, Jackie and Jim Bates of New Orleans and Pam and Bo Bullock of Pierce; three {two living} grandsons, Shawn and Tawnya Sullivan and Jeremy Watkins; four granddaughters, Michelle Sullivan, Stacy and Jim Larsen, Terra and Conrad Dabling, Amanda and Ashly Bullock.
The family feels blessed that Nana got to know her first great-grandchild, Konner Dabling.
Polly has one cousin surviving in Illinois, Don and Pat Hovey, a sister-in-law, Melba Ashwood and may {many} favorite nieces and nephews there.
She also has special family members in Ron Watkins and Terry and Rosa Christiansen in Tri-Cities, WA.
the family says "Mom and Nana, how well we learned the lesson that when you put something away for safekeeping, it is really safe! Life was never dull with you and we all love you the mostest. Hope you and Dad are holding hands together like you did for 52 years."
No services will be held. Pine Hills Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
