ALBERT, Carl Eugene passed away on Saturday September 20, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born August 4, 1927 to Earl and Inez Albert who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by 9 siblings. Carl served in the United States Army from 1945-1947. He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Larry (Sue), and daughters Marilyn Hogstrom and Vickie (Scott) Hodges, brother Robert (June) Albert, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Vandalia at 140 Elva Court, Vandalia, OH 45377 at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 24, with Mr. John Seagraves officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Carl's memory. Arrangements entrusted to Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, Vandalia.
