She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Lafayette Chappell and Catherine Frances Lucas Chappell; sisters, Sylvia S. and Addie K. Chappell; and brother, Clifton M. Chappell.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Gray Harper; children, Charles II (Patricia), Christopher (Shelby), Constance Cox (Ronnie); grandchildren, Lauren Webb (Jeff), Teddy, Grace, Matthew and Brandon Harper, Trey and Justin Cox; great-grandchild, Avery Webb; sisters, Patricia H.
