Gregory L. Keip

Gregory L. Kiep, age 66, of 2522 41st St., Two Rivers, went peacefully with the Lord on Monday afternoon, March 18, 2013, after a several year courageous battle with many medical complications.

Gregory was born March 16, 1947, in Two Rivers, son of Dolores (Migawa) Keip and the late Edward Keip, Jr. Greg graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1965. On November 5, 1966, he married Katherine Denk at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple was blessed with 46 years of marriage. Greg proudly protected and served the citizens of Two Rivers with the City of Two Rivers Police Department for 28 years, from May 1, 1972 until October 15, 2000. He enjoyed annual deer hunting trips with family and friends, fishing with his sons and grandchildren, and was an avid Packer fan. He had a passion for music, which he shared with his family and was the drummer of the Beale Street Four for twenty-five years. He especially enjoyed getting togther with family, grilling out and playing poker.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Steven Keip.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 9:00 a.m. There will be no Wednesday visitation.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Greg's name.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers, is assisting the Keip family with funeral arrangements.

The Keip family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Alwarez of Woodland Clinic, the doctors and staff of Froedtert Hospital and Kathy's House in Milwaukee, the Mayo Clinic, and the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center for the compassion and care shown to Greg and his family.
