Methodist Church, 4428 Columbine, Burton, Reverend Joy Fletcher-Thompson officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Gentiva Hospice or Federation of the Blind Talking Books Program. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mrs. Brooks will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. Mary was born in Fenton, Michigan on January 13, 1928, the daughter of the late Jacob and Theressa Matson, and was a resident of Holly and Grand Blanc Township all of her life. She married Ronald Brooks, Sr. on May 16, 1953 and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1995. She was a member
of Christ United Methodist Church. Surviving are six children, Ronald, Jr. of Grand Blanc Township, Judith Headley of Burton,Debbie and husband Charlie Common of San Antonio, TX, Renee and husband Frank Conerly of Flint, Patricia and husband Robert Jarvis of Burton, Teresa and husband Mark White of Gaines; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Bullock, Glenadine Kidd, Alice and husband John Noble; brother, Samuel and wife Linda Cross; special friend, Lorraine Jackson and many other family members, friends and church family.
