Eric S. Lynch
March 11, 1975 - Sept. 20, 2014
Resident of Rodeo
Eric S. Lynch formerly of Rodeo, CA, passed from this world to be with the Lord on September 20, 2014. Eric was born on March 11, 1975 with multiple birth defects and was later diagnosed with Ehlors-Danlos Syndrome. However, his short stature and confinement to a wheel chair did not deter Eric from living his life to the fullest. His medical conditions were a hindrance, but through the expert medical care he received from a variety of care givers, and his own strong will and determination, Eric lived a full and rewarding life.
Eric grew up in Rodeo, California, graduated from John Swett High School and attended Diablo Valley College. He enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States, with favorite destinations of Ocean City, NJ, Las Vegas and Disneyland. Eric remained active throughout his life, despite his physical limitations, and lived independently in Sacramento with his aide and friend, Jon Johnson, since 2005.
Eric was a frequent participant on a nationwide radio show and gained notoriety and a fan base throughout the country. Through the radio show, he obtained several acting roles in television dramas and was recognized on the streets when walking in NYC, Disneyland and throughout the country. He loved the entertainment world and emceed for stand-up comedy shows and participated in a variety of public appearances. Eric was an avid wrestling and sports fan, rooting for all the Bay Area teams.
Despite his short stature and disabilities, Eric was quick to defend people he felt had been slighted and eagerly asserted his positions, despite protest and arguments from others. He especially enjoyed communicating with his many friends through social media on a daily basis.
Eric was preceded in his journey to Heaven by his grandfathers, Merril Lynch Jr. and Vernon Miller. He is survived by his parents, Clark and Jeanne Lynch; his brother, Brandon Lynch; his grandmothers, Anna Mae Lynch and Loretta Murray: his sister-in-law, Sandra Lynch: his nieces, Kaitlyn and Autumn, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
With the passing of Eric, this world lost a little person with a huge heart and soul, but Heaven gained an angel with spunk. Private services for friends and family will be held at the Oakmont Memorial Chapel, Lafayette, CA on Friday, September 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Shriner's Hospital of Northern California, 2425 Stockton Blvd. Sacramento, CA 95817
