Attended Dulwich College 1926 - 1933 then worked for Beese & Co Shipping Agents and was posted to their branch in Aden
Joined the RAF on a Short Service Commission in 1939, completed Training in May 1940 and was ' converted ' to Spitfires abd joined 54 Squadron at Rochford on June 24th
He made a forced landing at Deal after an attack by BFs 109 and was slightly wounded.
He was killed on Feb 17th 1941 while carrying out a weather test and was cremated at South London Crematorium Mitcham
His name is one of 10 on the Battle of Britain Historical Society Memorial Plaque at Dulwich College.
