Attended Dulwich College 1931 - 1935
Entered the RAF at Cranwell College Jan 1936 as Hon Kings Cadet.
After graduation posted to 64 Squadron at Church Fenton Dec 18 1937.
During the 1938 Air Exercises he piloted he piloted one of the Hawker Demos and due to a dence fog they had to bale out at RAF Digby

On Oct 4th 1939 he joined 141 when it was reformed at Turnhouse, promoted Acting FL and Flight Commander in November.

On July 12th 1940 they moved south to West Malling and he was flying a Defiant, one of 9 attacked by BF 109s of HI/JG 51 off Dover on the 19th

He was killed in the aircraft and his gunner PO A C Hamilton was drowned in the sea
Their aircraft L7009 crashed near Dover.

He was buried in All Saints Churchyard, Tilford, Surrey
