Terry L. Abernethy, a.k.a. "Dirt", age 62, passed away September 16, 2014, peacefully while sleeping.

Born August 12, 1952, he loved riding motorcycles, hunting, and being outdoors.

He was a twenty year member of Iron Workers Local Union #27, and had a lifelong dream of moving to Alaska and building a cabin. In 1994, Terry and his wife, Maxie, fulfilled this dream, making a community of close friends along the way. The Outlaw Ranch is centered on a mountain top near Eagle, Alaska.

He was a hard working, strong man, with a truly kind heart. He was and always will be, his daughters hero. His family will rejoice in heaven when we get to see him again.

Survived by wife, Maxie Abernethy; daughter, Rocki Abernethy; grandsons, Lake, Seth and Zane; sister, Sheryl; brothers, Dennis, Kevin and Michael.

A motorcycle procession will be held in his honor on September 23, 2014, in Eagle, Alaska.
