On the 28th March, 1847, Mrs. Anne Cantey Richardson, widow of the late Governor James B. Richardson, died in the 74th year of her age, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C.P. Elliott, and was buried at the ancient burial place of her family in Sumter District.
