AGE: 82 • Chester, IL; formerly Bellmawr, NJ

Charles Perkins, 82, of Chester, IL, formerly of Bellmawr, NJ, passed away at 11:05am Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Coulterville Care Center in Coulterville, IL.

Charles was born on October 3, 1931 in Campbell, MO to Charley and Mary Mae Perkins (nee Goldsmith). He married Joan Sainato in May of 1957. She preceded him in death on February 7, 2007.

Mr. Perkins served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was employed at Penn Mutual Insurance. He was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include one sister Nell Brandon of Chester, IL; one brother Jimmie Perkins (Alice) of Sparta, IL; sisters-in-law Dolores Farina (John) and Marie Frattali; and brother-in-law Anthony Sainato (Sandi). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother Wendall Thomas and one sister, Frankie Sue Thomas Rodgers.

There will be a viewing from 8:45 to 9:45am Saturday morning at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation BVM Church, 601 W. Browning Rd., Bellmawr. Funeral Mass 10am Saturday in the Church. Entombment New St. Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr.
