Services for Myrtle Grissom, 104, were held at 11:00 AM on Monday, Septmember 29, 1997, at Ingleside Baptist Church with Brow. Crawford Williams officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Quitman under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs. Grissom died early Saturday morning, September 27. She was born November 16, 1892, in Ouachita Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Zinnie Grissom; two daughters Pauline Grissom and Lodie Coleman; and one grandson, Jeffrey Lane Coleman.
Survivors include one son, Selma Grissom and wife, Daisy, of Quitman; two daughters, Willie Grissom of Shreveport, and Zinnie Grissom Burns and husband Pleasant, of Shreveport; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
"Memaw", as she was lovingly known by her children, was devoted to her family and friends and gave a lifetime of service to her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church.
