Joseph F. Hansen, 79, of 4808 S. 12th St., died early today at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for one day. Born March 10, 1892, at Jericho, he was the son of the late Jacob and Therese Hansen. He attended public grade school.
He was married July 11, 1916 to Miss Veronica Barbara Beuchel of Marytown. The couple resided on a farm near New Holstein and later moved to the Cleveland area. In recent years, Mrs. (sic) Hansen had been living in Missouri and moved to Florida in 1969. Since July. he resided with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. William (Marie) Stipe of Sheboygan.
Survivors, in addition to the daughter, Marie, are eight sons, Harvey, Merlin, LeRoy, Willard and Walter, all of Cleveland; Robert, of Kiel; Rodney of Sheboygan and Clarence of Yuma, Ariz.: 35 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother. Jacob Hansen of Chilton and two sisters, Mrs. Otto Wettstein of Long Prairie, Minn. and Mrs. Gertrude Wagner of Jericho. He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral arrangements pending at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Particulars will be announced Tuesday.
