He was born in Lewiston, Maine, on September 7, 1947, to Raymond and Kathleen (Currier) Nadeau. He happily married Rita on July 5, 1992. He graduated high school in New Sharon with the class of 1966, and directly after high school he spent two years serving our country in the Army, followed by two years in the Navy as well. After that he worked as a laborer on different jobs, until he became sick and had to retire. Darryl was a highly skilled woodworker. He had a strong passion for building everything from canoes, guns, furniture and other various projects. He also enjoyed anything outdoors from picking mushrooms, to fishing and exploring the countryside. He also adventured on foot across America from Maine to Texas, California and the desert as well. He enjoyed a wide variety of activities with Rita by his side. He was predeceased by both parents of New Sharon; uncles Paul Currier, Joseph Nadeau and Earl Tracy; brothers-in-law Harry Whittemore and Leslie Nightingale; and sisters-in-law Myrtle Thomas and Dixie Nightingale. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Rita Nadeau; two sons, Raymond Nadeau and his companion Danielle, and Shawn Nadeau and his companion Jennifer; his brother David Nadeau and companion Honey of Pahrump, Nv.; and sister Lois Whittemore of North Grafton, Ma.; his uncles, Delmar Currier and Linwood (wife Alberta) Currier; his aunts, Mona Nadeau, June and Ellen Currier; brothers-in-law Lennis, Glendon and Wayne (wife Barbara) Holt; sister-in-law Jo-Ann Holt; nephews Ryan Whittemore, Joey Killoh, Gary Nightingale, Randy (wife Anne) Nightingale, Leigh, John and Lloyd (wife Lynn) Thomas, Richard Sr. (wife Kelly), Richard Jr. and Jacob Archer; a very special great-great-nephew Ezra "Buggy" Nightingale; nieces Kathleen (husband Dave) and Shaelyn Killoh, Sandi Nadeau, Lynn and Emily Nightingale, Shannon Holt, Laura and Crystal Kwon, Heather, Jamie and Jessie Thomas. I would like to thank our very special neighbors Jim and Leslie Real for all that they have done; Dr. Amy Madden and Dr. Donald Magioncalda for being the best doctors anyone could ask for; plus the Belgrade and Rome Rescue for their great work.
