Mary Belle Ashton
Mrs. Mary Belle Ashton, 95, Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, died Sunday at 1:40 pm in the Martins Ferry Hospital. She was born in Colerain March 11, 1872, the daughter of Mahlon and Matilda Devault. Her husband, J. Chester Ashton, died in 1914.
She was a member of the Martins Ferry First Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Lester J., Colerain Pike, Robert H., Buckeye Run; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hodge, Martins Ferry, Mrs. Marion Conkel, Steubenville and Mrs. Nellie Schane, San Diego, Calif., one brother, Herman Devault, Colerain Pike; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Keller Funeral Home, Martins Ferry, after 7 pm tonight. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 pm with Rev. Lynn Garth officiating. Burial will be in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport.
