Johnnie Sue “Nanny” Beene age 72 of Dardanelle passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Dardanelle Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 26, 1940 at Carden Bottoms to the late Will and Marie Bailey Rook. She loved to garden and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.T. Beene; one grandson, Michael Day; two brothers, Bill Rook and Duncan Rook.

Survivors include one son, Gary Beene and wife Belinda of Centerville; one daughter, Susan Day and husband Robert of Centerville; one sister, Ruby Lee Smith of Casa; four grandchildren, Ashley Wilson of Jerusalem, Johnny Day and Hannah Day both of Centerville, Sheila Suter of Russellville; six great grandchildren, Cason and Coy Wilson both of Jerusalem, Roger Day of Centerville, Paige, Allie and Dillon Suter of Russellville.

Graveside services were held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Bryant’s Cove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were be Doug Beene, Gerald Beene, Ed Reynolds, Levi White, Robert Day and Johnny Day.
