G. Ilene Hanley, 80, of Edmond, Okla., was born February 6, 1934, in Greensburg, Kan., to parents George and Margie (Smith) Barney. She passed away September 28, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Ilene was a retired dental assistant who stayed busy with china painting, sewing, and crafts. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

Ilene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Barney; and son, Michael Hanley.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy and husband Randy Gibson; grandson, Robbie Gibson and wife Renee; granddaughter, Kellie and husband Adam Ferrari; great-granddaughter, Zola Gibson; brothers, Dick Barney and Bob Barney; sister, Sally Beltz; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 2, at Memorial Park Cemetery.
