Not educated in America, Albenzio did learn to speak English, though not great he was able to speak to his family. He and his wife Carmela married in Italy, and had 2 children there before immigrating to the USA. After the death of his son and wife in 1949, Albenzio lived a quiet life, he lived on his own until he moved in with his daughter in the late 1950s. Stricken with illness in the last 3 years of his life, he made the best of tough times. On May 19, 1973, after battling illness for nearly 3 years, he reunited with his late wife, son, daughter, and extended family. He is interred next to his wife. In the back of the stone it reads Baldo, Adeline & Elio, his daughter and son in law who took care of him in illness.
