Fritz was born August 11, 1925, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Frederick W. and Cordelia (Fanslau) Puls. He attended Two Rivers Public Schools and then served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. On September 16, 1950, he married Frances Bonk at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Fritz retired from Kaufman Mfg. Co. in Manitowoc where he was employed as a shipping clerk for many years. He enjoyed bowling, dartball, cribbage, shooting pool, fishing and gambling.
Survivors include his wife: Frances Puls, Two Rivers; two brothers and three sisters-in-law: Leo and Janice Puls, Roland and Kay Puls, and Shirley Puls, all of Two Rivers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Carol (Roger) Puls, Two Rivers, Shirley Brault, Mt. Horeb, Lorraine (Bonk) Maresh, Two Rivers, Joyce Bonk, Ann Arbor, Mich. and Leonard Rybarczyk of Illinois. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: John and Howard Puls.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial of his cremated remains to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.
