Obituary for Mr. Howard G. Abbott
Graveside services for Howard Abbott 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 2nd, at Greenlawn, 3700 River Blvd., in Bakersfield, CA.
Howard attended Standard School and graduated from Kern County Union High School (BHS).
He served in the Army during WWII and upon returning home married the love of his life Gina Doll and had four daughters.
Howard loved his family and their family spent time camping, waterskiing year round. Hobbies included watching western movies and collecting watches. Howard retired from State Farm Ins. in 1995, and spent his retirement cruising the world with his wife.
He is survived by his daughters: Cheryl Peoples, Sharon Angello, Linda Minton, his sister Toni Blagg. His grandchildren Stacey Stansberry, Jason Angello, Brianne Vollmer, Aimee Stahl, Ashley Monsibais, James Gay, and 14 Great-grand children.
He is preceded in death by daughter Rhonda Gay, and grandson Eric Peoples and his parents Howard Jay and Vivian Abbott.
