Velma Harrelson, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday.
Mrs. Harrelson was born in Bristol, Virginia to the late Albert Cadle and Bertha Harmon Cadle. She was a loving mother and homemaker for many years, and later became a hairdresser in her home. She volunteered as a Golden Guide at the Medical Center of Central Georgia for numerous years, and once received the honor of Volunteer of the Year. She was also active in the Creative Homemakers group, and TOPS. Mrs. Harrelson loved the Lord, and was an active member of Mikado Baptist Church since 1960. She was also a member of the GYP and the Mikado Bible Class.
She was the widow of Joseph Carl Harrelson; and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Clements; and sisters and brothers, Alberta Dennington, Frances Hart, Willie Cadle, Virgil Cadle, and Elmer Cadle.
