The funeral of Michael McMahon was held from his late residence, 109 George street, at 8:30 this morning and a half hour later from St. Augustine's church, where the mass of requiem was sung by Rev. Edward V, Murphy. A large gathering of relatives and friends from Newtown, Danbury and Norwalk as well as from this city attended the services. A delegation was present from Court Sandy Hook, F. of A., of which the deceased was a member. The choir sang "Domine" at the offertory and at the conclusion of the mass, Prof. A. T. Brisebois sang "Some Sweet Day." The bearers were Michael Kilbride, John Lynch, Frank, Carroll, John Keane, Michael Gaynor and James Fanning. Interment was in St. Michael's cemetery.
