Ted Brennan was the son of Theodore and Gertrude (Quinn) Brennan. He was born in Brainerd, Minnesota and grew up in Mankato, Minnesota. Ted served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He married Donna LeDuc in 1950. Together they had seven children. The family moved to Arizona in 1959 where he followed his father's footsteps into the oil business, eventually owning and operating several independent gasoline stations in the Phoenix area.

Ted is survived six children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as three sisters and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Donna, daughter Lynn Ann, his parents, brother Bernie and sister Mary.

Ted was a devout Catholic and an avid Sun Devil fan. When he made a friend it was a friend for life, and he had many of them. He only saw the good in people and never forgot a kind deed. Ted was known and loved for his sense of humor and his love of his Irish heritage.
