Aduron B. Cross died Saturday, March 15, 1980, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. He was 58, a native of Alexandria and a resident of Baker. He was assistant superintendent of Willow Glen power station and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Survived by his wife, Mrs. Margie McCulloch Cross, Baker; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Cross Bailey and Miss Lori Marie Cross, both of Baker; a son, Mayor Mike Cross, Baker; a sister, Mrs. Johnny Weiland, Baker; and three grandsons, Sean, Shane and Lance.

Preceded in death by his father, John C. Cross; his mother, Audie Mayo Cross, and a grandson, Jason.

He was past president of I.B.E.W. And a charter member of Baker Booster Club. He helped form the Democratic Committee in Baker. He was a member of the Baker plumbing board for 12 years and was a guard and quarterback on Baker's first football team in 1939.
