William J. Pasternak Green Bay, WI/Hammond, IN William J. Pasternak, age 85, passed away Monday, September 1, 2003 in DePere, WI, after lingering illnesses. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn; son, Robert (Donna) and granddaughter Markey Pasternak; brother Fred (Janet) Pasternak of Dyer, IN; sisters-in-law, Annelies (late Chester) Pasternak of Lynwood, IL, Irene (late Tony) Kowandy of Gallatin, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by parents, John and Antonina Pasternak, seven brothers and three sisters. Mr. Pasternak retired as a Supervisor from the U.S. Steel Corp. A U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, he participated in North African and Italian Campaigns. He was a 1936 graduate of Hammond High School and resided in the Calumet Region until 1999 when he moved to Green Bay. He was an accomplished harmonica player and enjoyed golfing and gardening. Visitation was at the Cotter Funeral Home in DePere, WI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Church in DePere. Entombment, Allouez Mausoleum in Allouez Catholic Cemetery, Green Bay, WI. He was buried with full Military Honors.
