The family of Doyle Clay Collins invites you to join us in celebrating his life on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Parkway Funeral Home, officiated by Marcus Lipscomb. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. with the funeral services following. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
"Papaw Doyle" started this journey on March 25, 1940, and danced his way through those pearly gates on October 2, 2014. He was the son of Buren Clay Collins and Lula Mae Hale Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Collins, his father, and younger brother, Raymond Collins.
His surviving family members are his mother, Lula Collins. His children, Beth and Jeff Blankenship, Leslie and Freeman Rikard and Patricia and Robert Morgan. Grandchildren, Jessica and Hunter Frost, Marli Rikard (Justin), Chase Pitt (Faith), Katie Rikard (Dillon) and Salli Rae Pitt. Great-grandchildren, Bentley Mason and Lydia Grissom. His siblings, Jimmy Dale Collins (Margaret) and Wanda Gail Carrol.
Pallbearers will be Chase Pitt, Hunter Frost, John Nance, John Nance Jr., Dillon Bowling, Justin Mason. Honorary pallbearers will be Joy Lee Terry, Bill Collins, Don Collins, Gerald Terry, James "Shorty" Moreno, Bailey Terry.
