R. Warren Wingo, 88, of South Charleston passed away on Friday, March 15, 2006, after a long illness.

He was a retired operator from Union Carbide with 23 years of service.

Surviving are his sons, Chester Wingo and his wife, Karen, of Dunbar and R. Warren Wingo II of St. Albans; a brother, Stanley Wingo and his wife, Garnet, of Salem, Va.; grandchildren, Pamela Korsen and her husband, Bill, Kelly Rae Hart and her husband, Kevin, Nicki Painter and her husband, Eric, Billy Burdette and his wife, Christina, and Heather Rose Wingo; great-grandchildren, Derek, Reanna, Khori and Warren Tucker, Taylor, Jordan, Noah and Colin Burdette and Samantha and Matt Korsen; several nieces and nephews; and his close friends.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with the Rev. Jerry Cline officiating. Burial will follow.

The visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, 4203 Salines Drive, Malden.
