Deceased Name: Hazel Lee Oliphant
Hazel Lee Oliphant, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009. She was a native of Trimble County, Ky., and a resident of Lillian since 2004.

Oliphant, a former longtime resident of Indianapolis, retired from the John Deere Co. and had also worked for the J. I. Case equipment company. She was a longtime member and state officer of the Indiana VFW.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Sadler of San Dimas, Calif., and Terry Sadler of Lillian; a brother, Marvin Horine of Rimrock, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren .

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Flanner-Buchanan Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Burial will take place at Washington Park North Cemetery Mausoleum.

Local arrangements are by Hughes Cremation and Funeral Service of Daphne
