PARKER, Ind.--Arthur G. Knapp, 81, a decorator until his retirement in 1956 and former barber in Parker and Muncie, died Wednesday at the Randolph County Hospital, Winchester, after a short illness. He was a lifetime resident of Parker, where he operated his own barbershop for a time. He was also employed at the Fuller Barber Shop in Muncie.
He was a member of the Parker Methodist Church and the Methodist Men and Together Sunday School Class of that church.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl; two daughters, Mrs. Nelson Blackburn, Greenfield, and Mrs. Cecil Thornburg, Parker; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Thornburg Funeral Home, Parker, with the Rev. J. Robert Boggs Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, east of Farmland. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
