Elaine F. Kornely, age 98, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, December 31, 2012 at Shady Lane.

She was born on August 22, 1914 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late August and Julia (Benishek) Mueller, Elaine was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1932. On October 12, 1934 she married Milton N. Kornely in Waukegan, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2002. Elaine was a supervisor of premium sales at Mirro Company, retiring in 1980.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Sharon Ely-Roeber and her husband, Richard, Sheboygan Falls, Darlene Brown, Edina, MN; three grandchildren: William (Cheryl) Ely, Plymouth, Jane (Scott) Ziarnik, Manitowoc, Tom Brown, Edina, MN; seven great grandchildren: Erin Perillo, Denver, CO, Chad (Cortney) Ely, St. Cloud, MN, Adam (Beth) Chambers, Denver, CO, Alex Chambers, Fort Collins, CO, Grant Ely, Sheboygan, Chris Ziarnik, Manitowoc, Abby Ziarnik, Milwaukee; one great great-grandson: Sou Chambers; and a brother and sister-in-law: Loyal (Marge) Mueller, Rice Lake, WI. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Carol Wellner, Jewel Mueller, June Mueller; a son-in-law: Robert Brown; and a granddaughter: Cynthia Chambers.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 until 2:45 pm.
