Bernice A. Olien, age 89, formerly of Two Rivers, currently residing at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at the nursing home.
Bernice was born February 17, 1923, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Wenzil and Anna (Sinkula) Kopetsky. She was a graduate of Washington High School. On June 21, 1947, she married Frederick Clarence Olien in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1985. Bernice was a Press Operator at Hamilton Industries for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Two Rivers.
Survivors include one daughter: Jane Olien, Manitowoc; one son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Nancy Olien, Sheboygan; one grandson, Benjamin Olien, Chicago; and one brother-in-law: Gilbert Kinderknecht, Two Rivers. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Alvin, Clarence and Gary Kopetsky; and one sister, Lucille Kinderknecht.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at church from 9:00 until 9:45 a.m.
