Suggested edit: "Pontie" was born at Middleton, Oregon, 24 April, 1873, six weeks after Willie's death. One of his sisters said that if she didn't get to name him, she would call him by the ugliest name she knew--Dupont--and so he was named.
He died of diphtheria at Middleton 31 March, 1879 and is buried at the Middleton Cemetery.

The front row of grave stones are the Winters Plot. It's a great photo I had to share it

This is a 4 sided stone on each side is a Young sibling on each side is the grave of mother and father each with there own tomb stone.

Pointer side is very worn, more worn then the other sides.

Here is how it read as well as I can see it on this day. (I will go back and take a rubbing to be able to read it I'll get a better photo also at a later date.)

There is a message that runs along the bottom all the way around. Some it reads

Not lost but gone before of (such of ) ________ ____ of heaven

As you can see the grave fell over (it's the only one that fell over) . The grave site just in fount of a very large oak tree. The roots have grown under the grave and crated a large hole that sank in.
