The Tilson Genealogy page 327 which states he was employed in a local iron mill and Representative Men of South-east Massachusetts page 1194 which call him "Deacon".
The will for Jarius was probated at East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He was a called yeoman. Ansel Benson and John Benson and Otis Thomas, 2nd were witnesses. The estate amounted to $1320.00. His land abutted that of John and Stillman Benson. He also owned a third part of pew # 19 in the South Middleboro Chapel. (probate Record Plymouth Massachusetts folio #8331)
